Stellantis NV is recalling 91,787 Jeep Grand Cherokee plug-in hybrids in the U.S. due to a battery control module software flaw that may cause sudden power loss. The automaker expects $30M-$50M in costs, compounding nearly $1B in recall expenses since 2023.
Shares fell 0.7% to $9.08 Friday, extending a 40% annual decline. While the 6.36% dividend yield attracts income investors, recurring quality issues erode long-term confidence. Notification letters will be mailed by October 23.
